A massive thank you to New Unity for raising £461 for our Community Food Hubs!
New Unity is a radically inclusive community of love and justice. It is a registered charity, and the Unitarian and Dissenting communities here at its Newington Green Meeting House have been in existence in various forms for over 300 years. Iconic feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft spent time here, and the building played an important role in generating the
radical ideas behind revolutions around the world. Today, the community is open to non-religious people as well as religious people of any background. It hosts unique Sunday morning gatherings with spiritual and humanist elements as well as events, exhibitions and cinema during the week, and also carries out social justice work.
They seek to build a more loving and just community and world, and one way to do this is to make donations to organisations working in the community on issues like poverty and the cost of living crisis. They’re really pleased to have partnered with the Community Food Hub to help those in our local area during the cost of living crisis.
