Budget-Friendly Fun: Our Summer Activities for All Children

Summer is here, and Children with Voices is thrilled to present an exciting line-up of budget-friendly summer activities for children of all ages. Our aim is to create an inclusive and affordable experience that brings joy and enrichment to young lives, especially during these challenging times. With reduced prices due to the cost of living crisis, we are committed to providing accessible opportunities for children to engage, learn, and have fun. Let’s dive into the details of our summer events!

“Who am I” – Discovering Identity and Empowerment

  • Date: Various Dates 17th August – 28th October
  • Age Group: 13-19 years
  • Time: 11 am – 5 pm
  • Location: Fawcett Hall

“Who am I” is an opportunity for young minds to express themselves, showcase their talents, and share their aspirations with the community. This event is all about self-discovery, creativity, and empowerment. Join us on this journey of self-expression and let’s show everyone who we really are: creative, talented, amazing, and unique! It will incorporate fashion and music interactive activities designed to discover who you are and who you want to be!

Activities:

  • Engaging arts and crafts session where participants can express themselves creatively.
  • Planning and organising a fashion event to showcase their dreams, aspirations, and talents to the community.
  • Several trips
  • Open Mic event
  • Various special guests

“My Keeper is My Brother” – Strengthening Bonds and Community

  • Date: 7th – 25th August 2023
  • Age Group: 12-19 years, some older young people supporting the young ones
  • Time: 11:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Location: Pembury Hall, Fawcett Hall, Halley Music, Haggerston Park

“My Keeper is My Brother” focuses on fostering positive relationships, teamwork, and community engagement. Through various activities, participants will learn the value of supporting and looking out for one another, just like brothers. The purpose of this project is to address the issues that our young boys and men are facing in their environment which is supposed to be a safe environment. This will be a fun and interactive and a learning experience where at the end of it you should know what you want, who you are and the opportunities that are open to you .

Activities:

  • Yoga sessions for relaxation and well-being.
  • Arts and crafts sessions to promote creativity and self-expression.
  • Educational sessions on mental health, exploring the education system, and understanding rights and safeguarding.
  • Free Music Studio Time
  • Attendees Receive £20 Vouchers
  • Being A Part of Our Film Project and Learning The Process of How To Make a Film
  • Able To Play Football In a Safe Guarded Area

“Summer Water Bootcamp” – Exciting Water Adventures for All

  • Date: July 24th to August 22nd
  • Age Group: 7 – 11 years
  • Time: 10 am – 4:30 pm

In our “Water Bootcamp,” children will have a blast participating in thrilling water activities that promote teamwork, skill development, and loads of fun! Whether it’s kayaking, canoeing, or stand-up paddleboarding, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our dedicated instructors will provide all the necessary equipment and guidance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. The first two weeks of this camp will be a two week intensive learn to swim course which by the end we hope your little ones will be able to swim 50m.

  • Paddle Boarding
  • Narrow Boating
  • Rock Climbing
