About the role
A voluntary role with real heart
Children With Voices already has a committed team telling our story, including a graphic designer, TikTok creator, LinkedIn manager and website manager. What we need now is someone who can help bring everything together.
As our Social Media & Marketing Volunteer, you will help shape our voice across platforms, coordinate our creative volunteers and make sure more people see the work happening across our programmes and community.
This is a flexible role combining leadership, content planning, storytelling and community marketing. You will be joining an established team rather than starting from scratch, with support from our social media volunteers and our Founder and CEO, Michelle.
Who we are
More than 20 years of community action
Children With Voices began more than 20 years ago with one woman, a community hall and a belief that no child in Hackney should be forgotten.
Our founder Michelle began by creating a Winter Wonderland for local children at London Fields School. Since then, Children With Voices has grown into a registered charity based at Fawcett Estate Community Hall in Clapton.
Today our work includes our Community Food Hub, Jumping Beans, SEND support, alternative education and collaborations with local schools. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to children, families and the community around us.

- Help identify opportunities to share our programmes, events, volunteer experiences and community stories more effectively.
- Protect children at all times by working within our safeguarding and volunteer policies.
- Make sure images or stories involving children are never published without the appropriate consent.
