Become the organised and dependable administrative backbone supporting our programmes, people and leadership team.

Volunteer
Hackney — Hybrid
Administration

Make the detail matter

Keep records, correspondence, shared systems and organisational information accurate, accessible and moving forward.

About this opportunity

Behind every programme we run and every family we support, careful administration keeps everything in order.

We are looking for a Volunteer Admin Coordinator to be that backbone: someone who takes ownership of the detail, keeps systems running and enables the rest of the team to focus on delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, discreet and takes genuine pride in getting things right.

What you’ll be doing

Day-to-day administration

  • Manage correspondence, scheduling and general administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems.
  • Support the preparation of reports, meeting notes and organisational documents.

Operational support

  • Support administrative aspects of HR, finance and governance.
  • Help coordinate the onboarding of volunteers and new team members.
  • Track outputs, attendance and impact data.

Communication and coordination

  • Act as a first point of contact for internal queries.
  • Maintain shared systems so information is easy to find and act upon.
  • Support communication between teams, leadership and external partners.

Governance and compliance

  • Help prepare materials for Trustee and leadership meetings.
  • Support safeguarding administration, including checks, consent forms and records.
  • Identify gaps in processes and help create simple, workable solutions.

What you’ll bring

  • Excellent organisation and strong attention to detail.
  • Reliability, discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information carefully.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar systems.
  • The ability to manage your own time and complete agreed tasks.
  • A collaborative approach combined with initiative.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Children With Voices.
You will support a team serving some of Hackney’s most vulnerable children and families. Reliability and attention to detail matter enormously in this role.

What you’ll gain

  • Hands-on charity administration and coordination experience.
  • Experience supporting HR, governance and monitoring processes.
  • Greater confidence managing records, systems and organisational information.
  • A professional reference reflecting your contribution.
  • The satisfaction of enabling frontline teams to support local families effectively.
